Who we are

Skywale Packages (“we”, “us”) is a travel company based at Dalgate, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir 190001, India. We operate the website at packages.skywale.com and plan custom travel in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. For any privacy question you can reach us at packages@skywale.com or +91 88991 23434.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you submit an enquiry form, message us on WhatsApp, email us or call us, we collect your name, phone number, email address and whatever trip details you choose to share — travel dates, destinations of interest, group size, budget comfort level and any notes about dietary needs, mobility or preferences.

Information collected automatically. If you accept cookies, our analytics and advertising tools collect standard technical data: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, referring website and interactions such as clicking a WhatsApp or call button. If you decline cookies, no analytics or advertising tags are loaded at all.

We do not collect payment card details through this website. Any payment for a confirmed booking is handled separately through channels agreed with you in writing.

Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare an itinerary and quote for you.
• To make bookings on your behalf with hotels, houseboats, transport operators, guides and permit authorities once you have confirmed a trip.
• To contact you before and during your trip about arrangements.
• To understand which pages help people plan their trip, so we can improve the site.
• To measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Google and Meta platforms.
• To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations in India.

Cookies and tracking

We use a consent banner. Nothing beyond strictly necessary functionality runs until you choose. If you accept, we may load:

• Google Analytics 4 — aggregate traffic and behaviour measurement.
• Google Ads conversion tracking — to know which advertisements produced an enquiry.
• Meta Pixel — the equivalent measurement for Facebook and Instagram advertising.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings, which will cause the consent banner to appear again. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser — the website will continue to work normally.

Who we share it with

We share only what is necessary, and only with parties who need it to deliver your trip: accommodation providers, transport operators, guides, activity operators and government permit authorities such as those issuing Inner Line Permits for Ladakh or Shrine Board registrations.

Our website and enquiry handling may use service providers such as web hosting and form-delivery services, which process data on our instructions. Analytics and advertising data is processed by Google and Meta under their own terms.

We never sell your data, and we never pass your phone number to other travel agents or lead-generation networks.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are retained for up to twenty-four months, in case you come back to us. Records relating to confirmed bookings are retained for as long as required by Indian tax and accounting law, typically eight years. You can ask us to delete your data sooner where no legal obligation requires us to keep it.

Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — and, where applicable, the UK and EU GDPR — you may ask us to:

• Confirm what personal data of yours we hold and provide a copy.
• Correct anything inaccurate or incomplete.
• Delete your data where we have no ongoing legal basis to keep it.
• Withdraw consent for marketing or analytics at any time.
• Raise a grievance about how we have handled your information.

Security

Enquiry data is transmitted over encrypted connections. Access to enquiry records is limited to the planners who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we also ask you not to send sensitive documents such as passport scans by unencrypted email unless we have specifically requested them for a permit.

Children

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under eighteen. Details of children travelling with you are provided by the booking adult and used only to arrange accommodation and transport.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing clients will also be communicated directly.
