Pilgrimage — Vaishno Devi & Amarnath

How we approach it

The thinking behind these trips

Pilgrimage travel in Jammu and Kashmir is logistically heavier than ordinary tourism. Vaishno Devi needs a Yatra Parchi, and helicopter slots to Sanjichhat disappear months ahead for Navratri. Amarnath needs Shrine Board registration and a Compulsory Health Certificate from an authorised doctor, plus a decision between the four-day Pahalgam route and the hard one-day Baltal climb.

We handle all of it: registrations, helicopter bookings where available, base camp and Katra accommodation, transport between Jammu, Katra, Pahalgam and Baltal, and support staff who know the routes. Shiv Khori, Raghunath Temple, Ranbireshwar and the Jammu temple circuit slot in naturally around the main yatras.

We will also tell you honestly if a particular route is unsuitable for someone in your group. That is a more useful service than selling you a package that does not work.

What we take care of

Exact inclusions depend on your dates and standard of stay — these are the things we build into every trip of this kind.

Questions

Pilgrimage FAQs

The questions we get asked most about this kind of trip.

When is the Amarnath Yatra in 2026?

Dates are announced each spring by the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board and usually run from late June to mid-August. We confirm the current year's window before any booking.

Can elderly pilgrims do Vaishno Devi?

Yes. The helicopter to Sanjichhat leaves only a 2.5 km walk, and battery cars, ponies and palanquins cover most of the remaining distance. We plan the combination that suits each person.

Is registration compulsory for Amarnath?

Yes — Shrine Board registration and a Compulsory Health Certificate from an authorised doctor are both mandatory. There is no way around either.

Can we combine Vaishno Devi with a Kashmir trip?

Very commonly. A typical pattern is two days at Katra, then the drive or flight to Srinagar for four or five days in the valley.
