How we approach it

The thinking behind these trips

Kashmir has been a honeymoon destination for as long as Indians have taken honeymoons, and the reason is simple: nowhere else in the country gives you lakes, snow, pine forest and Mughal gardens within two hours of each other. The trick is in the sequencing — getting you somewhere quiet after the wedding exhaustion, then building up to the scenery.

We usually open with a night on a private houseboat on Nigeen rather than the busy Boulevard stretch of the Dal, follow with Gulmarg for the gondola and the snow, then Pahalgam for the pine forests and the Lidder. Candlelit dinners on the deck, flower-decorated rooms, a private shikara at sunset and a photographer for a half-day shoot are all things we arrange quietly in the background.

Nothing on this page has a fixed price, because no two honeymoons should be the same shape. Tell us your dates, how long you have and roughly what you want to spend, and we will build it around you.

What we take care of

Exact inclusions depend on your dates and standard of stay — these are the things we build into every trip of this kind.

  • Private houseboat night

A full heritage houseboat to yourselves on Nigeen or a quiet arm of the Dal, with a candlelit dinner on the deck.

  • Private transport throughout

A dedicated car and driver for the whole trip — no shared cabs, no fixed departure times.

  • Romantic touches arranged

Flower decoration, cake, a private sunset shikara and an optional half-day photoshoot.

  • Handpicked stays

Lakefront rooms in Srinagar, ski-in properties in Gulmarg and riverside hotels in Pahalgam — all personally inspected.

Questions

Honeymoon FAQs

The questions we get asked most about this kind of trip.

What is the best month for a Kashmir honeymoon?

April and May for tulips and blossom, September and October for autumn colour, and December to February if you want snow. All four work beautifully for different reasons.

How many days do we need?

Six is the sweet spot: two nights Srinagar, two Gulmarg, two Pahalgam. Five works if you drop one, and eight lets you add Doodhpathri or Sonmarg.

Can we stay on a houseboat the whole time?

You can, but we rarely recommend it. One or two nights is magical; a full week on the water starts to feel limiting.

Do you handle airport pickups and permits?

Yes — airport transfers, all hotel bookings, local union taxi arrangements for the Pahalgam valleys and gondola tickets are all handled before you land.
