Skywale Packages is a locally owned travel company based in Srinagar. We plan custom trips across the Kashmir valley, Jammu and Ladakh — and we only sell what we would send our own families on.
Our story
Built out of frustration, honestly
Most Kashmir itineraries are written by people who have never stood on the Tangmarg road in February, never checked whether a houseboat actually has working heating, and never had to tell a family at 11 p.m. that the gondola is shut for wind tomorrow.
We started Skywale Packages because we kept meeting travellers who had paid a great deal for a trip assembled from someone else’s template. Six destinations in five days. A hotel that photographed beautifully and leaked. A day trip to Sonmarg that left no time to reach Thajiwas.
So we built the opposite. Every itinerary is written from scratch. Every property is one we have walked into. Every quote is itemised before you pay anything. And when your dates are wrong for what you want to see, we tell you — even when that means you book three months later, or not at all.
We are small on purpose. The person who answers your enquiry is the person who writes your itinerary and the person you call if something goes sideways at 10 p.m. in Gulmarg.
Why there are no prices on this website
Hotel rates in Kashmir can double between March and June. A group of twelve pays a different per-head cost than a couple. A houseboat with a working bukhari in January is not the same product as the one next to it. Publishing a single figure would mean either overcharging most people, or quietly downgrading what you actually get.
Instead you get a specific itinerary with named hotels and one clear quote, usually within a few working hours. You can compare that against anything.

We actually live here
Our planners are from Srinagar. We know which road is open this morning, which houseboat has working heating and which hotel photographs better than it stays.

Hotels, houseboats and homestays are personally inspected. If we would not put our own family there, it does not go in your itinerary.
